Description
While the impact of COVID-19 pandemic threatens economic and political turmoil in southeast and east Asian countries, the region as a whole appears to have been relatively successful in containing the virus.
But with these economies impacted by the severe economic downturn in the West, and amid rising global trade and political tensions, are they poised for economic recovery or do they face significant impediments, including a second wave of infection?
We welcome three speakers to discuss the impact and policy challenges:
This event will be moderated by Professor Hal Hill, the H.W. Arndt Professor Emeritus of the Southeast Asian Economies at the Crawford School, College of Asia and the Pacific, Australian National University and hosted by Associate Professor Gaurav Datt, CDES Deputy Director
